Search engine optimization a.k.a. SEO is one of many buzz terms circling about cyber land. Many people claim to know SEO, but admit they don’t “know” SEO – meaning they don't understand the terminology and actual “how to” when it comes to applying it to websites.
Search engine optimization is a technical term invented to describe the act of making it easier for search engines (Google, Yahoo, Bing, Ask… and on) to formulate a list of results in ascending order according to relevance in terms of matching the particular search query a person enters in the search field.
The attached list of on-page SEO highlights several elements of website design that make it faster, and easier for humans and search bots to decipher whether the site is a good match for a given search term/phrase.
SEO is not by any means the “end-all be-all” of online marketing success. Additionally, going through and optimizing a website for better search results does not complete the process of search engine optimization, as SEO is not a one time, do it, its done project that ends, but rather an ongoing, way of maintaining the search performance of a website similar to routine car maintenance for optimal engine performance.
