Blogging Tips for You

Blogging Begins with "You," and the reason why...

Blogging begins with "You" because when it comes to writing engaging content, “you” is the most powerful word in communication.  "You" is such a powerful word because people are ultimately are interested in fulfilling their own needs.  It may sound bad mannered or even rude, but it is a fact.

You-spelled out with building blocks

When it comes to writing for your blog, visitors will not begin to care about you and your blog posts, or want to return to read more of your posts unless you continually have new information or an offer they need.  If you think about it, it would be the same for you, now wouldn’t it.

The easiest way for you to build a visitor base of readers that care about your blogging, and that will help increase traffic by returning to your blog is to maximize your use of “you,” and minimize or eliminate your usage of “I” and “me.”

Every time you finish writing a blog post, you should re-read it to check your focus.  How many times did you use “you” and its derivations?  What about I, and me?

Try it, and you’ll be amazed at the results.  Once you do, and your visitors begin to care about your blogging, amazing things begin to happen, and viral buzz about your blog begins on social networking and bookmarks such as Twitter and Digg.

When writing, you should be specific in your statements, and always give reasons why, especially when you want readers to take action.  There are many ways to be specific in your writing.  One of the best is simply by giving a reason why.  When including a “reason why,” the most effective transition word to use is the word “because,” and not because I said so, but rather because it will work for you.

The word “because” when you use it to explain the “reason why” is so powerful, it does not seem to matter it’s reasoning is something you might expect from a child.

When it comes to communication the more specific you are, the more credible your points, arguments, or sales pitch will be.

These are helpful blogging tips for you, and the reason why is not because I said so, but rather you will see people beginning to care about your blog, and more importantly YOU.
